Places You Can Visit Along the Milton GO Train
April 4, 2023

The Milton GO train station is just a few minutes from our new towers at Connectt. In just 45 minutes, regularly scheduled trains can take you straight into the heart of downtown Toronto - but there’s so much to explore along the eight stops on the Milton line — from one famous retro burger joint at Kipling, to the gorgeous parks of Erindale.

We’ve put together a brief guide of places to explore and things to discover at each stop of your ride:

Union Station

Union Station is the centre of the city of Toronto, moments entertainment, restaurants, and the city’s nightlife. Whether it is a sports game in the Scotiabank Arena or a festival in the square, there is always something happening at Union Station all year round.

Kipling

At the intersection of Kipling Ave. and Dundas Street W., and within the Islington City Centre, the Kipling GO station is steps from great Etobicoke eateries, including St. James Gate Toronto, European Patisserie, Apache Burger, and more.

Centennial Park, one of Etobicoke’s most popular parks, is just 10 minutes away. It is an all-in-one spot for bike riding, recreational sports, picnics, and outdoor track. Plus, there’s a driving range and golf course, and multipurpose fields available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Dixie

The Dixie GO is connected to the Kipling subway station, so you have easy access to many of Etobicoke and Mississauga’s amenities. This includes CF Sherway Gardens and the Dixie Outlet Mall only 6 minutes away.

Cooksville

This station, located on Hurontario Street, is the future connection to Hurontario LRT, a line currently under construction that will one day carry passengers from Port Credit on the Mississauga waterfront, all the way north to Steeles Avenue in Brampton.

Square One City Centre and Mississauga Celebration Square are roughly 5 minutes away. Both are popular public spaces where many community events take place.

Erindale

Erindale Village has expanded to be one of Mississauga’s premier historical neighbourhoods, offering urban amenities, exceptional shopping centres, and diverse dining from Japanese, Italian, Mexican and more. It’s also home to the city’s largest park.

Streetsville, Meadowvale & Lisgar

All three GO stops are within the same area in the northwestern part of Mississauga. Nearby is Lake Aquitaine Park, a stunning natural reserve that has plenty of outdoor activities including fishing, hiking trails and cycling.
